Schwedische Massage

Swedish massage is considered to be the most widespread and known massage in Europe.

It has its roots in traditional Chinese massage methods which the Swedish doctor Per Henrik Ling adjusted to the western model of life. In Sweden, this kind of massage is called “Classic” while the term Swedish has prevailed in the rest of Europe.

  • Fermentation (petrissage) in which simple activation of the muscles takes place.
  • Taps (tapotement), soft tapping with the palm sides.
  • Rubbing (friction) in which with the help of all the fingers, the hard and stiff muscles are massaged.
